I have a small preference for @Replicated too, only because I had to look "replicable" up on dictionary.com to confirm that that's the correct word for the meaning ("replicatable" is not a word.) Re: Serializable semantics, one thing that sucks about them is there's no way to turn it off; i.e. indicate "this subclass isn't Serializable".
