One more thought, a leftover from a discussion with Adrian/Ales the other day: I believe that generated files don't belong in SVN, especially those that cater to developer preferences such as IDE integration. It's easy to get your environment set up by running the maven-eclipse-plugin and I think by committing .classpath we set ourselves up to have these easily fall out of sync.
