So, in Summary cancelRefs is treating the currentMessage (on the MessageListener) as any
other message sent and ACKed on the buffer.

Previously it wouldn't touch the counter as it wasn't ACKed.

With the current changes is decrementing the counter, as it wasn't ACKed.
