Just to clarify - we're not considering using HIbernate for our primary persistence
mechanism.
We're considering using Hibernate to implement our JDBC PersistenceManager.
Primary form of persistence is a fast file based append only journalling approach.
The JDBCPersistenceManager is mainly so JBM can work out of the box with JBAS and the
default database, and for those customers that really want JDBC but do so understanding
performance will be much poorer.
