I like the tutorial outline. It might be a good idea to break out the outline bullets into 2 different guides. One for operations, basically configuration/deployment/optimization and one for Java app developers. Also, I have been working on Seam Labs that are basically a set of helloworld projects that show 1 or 2 Seam features in action with code/configuration.
