I will be updating JBoss-head to the latest stable snapshot EAP 4.3 is using now. I have done a bunch of changes regarding stopping and starting the server... It's just that I was focusing on the 4.3 branch... I will be working on merging my changes on JBoss 5 now. And i will take a look on this NPE specifically, if the snapshot would fix it.
