The script on the fork is not persisted, but it is not mentioned anywhere that it should be. What I did find out is that there is a lot of difference between the docs, schema (which in itself is very inconsistent) and behaviour/api of the core. I would like to make a suggestion to get this in line before 4.0 or even better 3.3. Shall I file a jira issue for this?
