Not critical, although it would be good. Take that back - it's a pretty big deal -- at least the bit about not using the default properties. I came across this yesterday when the RuntimeConfig.reset() issue prevented use of the multiplexer. So 4 different AS services all opened channels using the default properties. All of which then began spewing log messages complaining about getting messages with a different channel name. Not good at all.
