If I can modify the current app server build scripts to grab their dependencies from the maven repository, then you could use the maven repository directly and know that you're getting the same jars as the app server. Unfortunately right now, the regular repository and the maven2 repository are not in sync so you will get slightly different versions of some of the files like the snapshots.
