Hello all, There have been quite a few changes since M2, so we are going to consider the next promoted release M3 rather than RC1. We are targeting either tonight or tomorrow for this build. Let us know if there are any other lingering checkins that should go in. Steve

What should we call this artifact?

Hi, You all know that starting with 6.2 release we have a new feature called "Connector Supplied Metadata", where connectors will be able to import metadata dynamically at runtime for data integration purposes. To use this feature user need to write ".def" file, which we been calling internally "vdbLess" mode, that does not sound correct. We are building a VDB and all the access is to this no different than a regular VDB, so it is a VDB just not built using the Designer! I have been calling it "DEF file based VDB", some names thrown out are "dynamic vdb" or "direct vdb" etc. Can you suggest a good name for this, so that we all can refer it by the same name? How about: "Def-driven VDB" or "d-vdb"? Dynamic VDB seems good too. I like dynamic vdb more than any other name tossed out so far. Sumanth, I did not pay attention before but does not seem to be source download != svn copy the maven process to build the src zip file seems to mess up the original folder names and hierarchy of folders to build a proper source code. Issue when getting the Teiid Code through Anonymous SVN

Teiid Group, I was trying to get the Teiid Code through the Anonymous SVN: http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/teiid/. I got the following error in Eclipse: *Checkout operation for 'http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/teiid/trunk' failed. svn: REPORT request failed on '/repos/teiid/!svn/vcc/default' svn: CRLF expected at end of chunk: -1/-1* ** Please find the log attached. Teid-client-jdbc - Refactor AbstractMMQueryTestCase

I would like to refactor AbstractMMQueryTestCase by pushing its core logic further down (new base class) for executing queries, comparing results, and common actions on the connection, etc. so that it can reused (extended) for any manner of tests that, in the end, use a Connection. Also, this core logic is basic to jdbc testing and therefore would like to reuse this in the, soon to becoming, integration test project for testing transactions and running the ctc tests. There was already a similar class, from whence it came from, in the JBEDSP integration test project. So I would to consolidate this logic. Any comments, complaints, suggestions, please speak up. Teiid Build Error.

Teiid Group, I downloaded Teiid 6.1 Source (teiid-6.1.0-src.zip) and extracted it to a folder. Following the instructions specified in: http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/EclipseDevEnvironmentSetUpforTeiid, I imported the project into Eclipse and also performed the step with respect to *Generating Maven Sources*. I did a build and it gave me errors. I even tried: *mvn install* from the folder where the source was extracted and got the same error. It is looking for a module name *common-core* which does not exist in the downloaded source zip. Please find the logs attached (Eclipse Log is in *BuildLog.txt *and the Mvn Install Log is in *MvnInstall.log*). Let me know how to resolve the problem. I'm pretty new to work with Maven projects. I have followed the instructions on Eclipse Dev Environment Set Up for Teiid I have downloaded the source and imported the Maven projects (TEIID SRC 6.1) into Eclipse. I have generated source using pom.xml in TEIID-Engine module and made target/generated-sources/javacc as build path. Later I don't have a clue what to do. I have nuild the project and getting lot of build errors. Can some one help me build the TEID server project please? I want to build TEIID server and debug executing the VDB generated from TEIID Designer. Regards RK _________________________________________________________________ We all see it as it is. Teiid Designer 6.2 MS2

All, In support of the Teiid 6.2 release, we've integrated the latest MS2 Teiid embedded into Teiid Designer. There has been no new features development for this release and you shouldn't see any behavioral changes. Note that, in theory, artifacts (models and VDB's) created from Teiid Designer 6.0 or 6.1 should still be compatible with 6.2. Enjoy..... Barry LaFond Teiid Designer Project Lead
