The Teiid Designer project team is proud to announce that our Teiid Designer 8.0 Alpha1 milestone is available for download and testing. This release incorporates changes required by Teiid 8.0/8.1/8.2 development including a VDB Reuse feature as well as closer integration with Eclipse WTP & JBoss Tools Server view. See What's New in 8.0 for details on the changes and installation instructions. Barry LaFond Teiid Designer Project

Teiid 8.2 Beta2 available

by Steven Hawkins

Hello all, Teiid 8.2 Beta2 was posted to the downloads: http://www.jboss.org/teiid/downloads There are several important fixes and refinements over beta1 including a fully functional object translator/resource adapter. We'll soon get the target JIRA issues narrowed down to fixes only by CR1 later next week, so please raise any issues you find for inclusion before the final release is posted. Thanks, The Teiid Team

Teiid 8.2 Beta1 Available

by Steven Hawkins

Hello all, Teiid 8.2 Beta1 has been posted to the downloads: http://www.jboss.org/teiid/downloads Read about it: http://teiid.blogspot.com/2012/10/teiid-82-beta1-released.html There's been lots of pickup of the alphas, so many thanks to the proactive community members. I should also mention that if by some chance AS 7.2 is available before CR1 (less than 4 weeks away), then we'll target that release. Steve

Teiid moving to GitHub

by Ramesh Reddy

Hi, I started the migration process to move Teiid from Subversion (SVN) to GitHub. I do not know how long the process will take, but in next couple days we will migrate fully to GitHub and pick up the 8.2 development where we left off on the SVN. Hopefully, this will make it easy for community to send us patches/pulls with whatever they find interesting! Once the migration is complete, I will send out another note. If you have any concerns or suggestions please let us know. Thank you. Ramesh..

trunk is converting to git

by Steven Hawkins

As part of https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-2154 we are working toward cutting over trunk to git. The current state of trunk and all prior branches will still remain in SVN. It will probably take several days to get a full conversion of developer docs, commit notifications, jira, etc. converted to git. This will hopefully coincide with the release Teiid 8.2 Beta1 by mid-week. An initial import from SVN version 4518 was performed to create a git hub repository [1] that includes legacy branches - however SVN remains the repository of record for all pre-8.0 branches. In the mean time if you want to read up on the approach to git of our related projects, please see [2] [3].
