Currently there is no other way for the user to know what properties it
takes to create a one particular translator, so I would have to say we
do not have option but for #1.
If the translator was an standards based, then it's format and contents
would be more widely known then #2 make sense, but I will vote for #1

I am pursuing 1 for now due to the Designer dependency, but thought it would be good to
