[Design of JBossCache] - Re: Reactivating SharedStoreCacheLoader
by manik.surtani@jboss.com
Is this even necessary? If the cache is stopped then it automatically no longer becomes the coord. In which case it's persistent state is irrelevant, even if it is in an indeterminate state. View the original post :

[Design of JBossCache] - Re: Designing Habanero - Cache and Node interfaces and JSR-1
by manik.surtani@jboss.com
Hmm, you would have to subclass TreeCacheProxyImpl, which is a wrapper around TreeCache that implements Cache, Node and the SPI interfaces. I'd also have to make sure I always obtain a TreeCacheProxyImpl from a factory so I can retrieve the appropriate subclass. (This is a TODO) Cheers, Manik View the original post :

[Design of JBoss ESB] - Re: ESB and the use of EJB
by mark.little@jboss.com
The current situation is that we can test EJB3 with the embedded container, but we can't use it within our product. I always like to test what we release, so it probably doesn't make sense to use the EJB3 support in the container. View the original post :

[Design of JBoss ESB] - Re: ESB and the use of EJB
by daniel.brum@jboss.com
I'm not sure we can use the EJB3 embedded container. Please talk with Mark Little to clarify this Kurt. View the original post :

[Design of JBoss Labs] - Re: anonymous cvs broken
by eric.brown@jboss.com
Doh! We broke anoncvs when we adjusted some perms to lock out modules being moved into svn this weekend. I've fixed this and anoncvs should be working again. Sorry about that. View the original post :

[Design of JBoss Labs] - Re: anonymous cvs broken
by scott.stark@jboss.org
There is a cvs to svn migration happening that is likely the cause. It was announced on the dev list earlier this week. View the original post :

[Design of JBoss ESB] - Re: Logging.. log4j or commons.logging
by mark.little@jboss.com
BTW, Kurt I updated the JBoss developer guide about 4 months ago with details on the logging infrastructure we have in TS and specifically on I18N/L10N capabilities. It would be worth checking that out post beta release. View the original post :

[Design of JBoss ESB] - Re: Logging.. log4j or commons.logging
by mark.little@jboss.com
I agree. It's purely a matter of time and resources at the moment. Going the log4j route (or any specific implementation) for ESB would only be a stop-gap. Once we get the beta release of ESB out the door this is something we can definitely look at. View the original post :

[Design of JBoss ESB] - Re: Logging.. log4j or commons.logging
by scott.stark@jboss.org
log4j is not without its own problems for servers. There are known deadlock problems and bottlenecks due to appender locking issues:
http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=71278
Merging the existing org.jboss.logging abstraction with the JBossTS version to create a common logging interface that does not conflict with existing logging abstraction is what I want to see. View the original post :
