[Deployers on JBoss (Deployers/JBoss)] - Could not start JBoss 4.0.4

Hi, I downloaded JBoss4.0.4 as jboss-4.0.4.GA.zip file. I extracted it on c:\ Now I want to start JBoss, hence I set JAVA_HOME env and run the run.bat file from C:\jboss-4.0.4.GA\bin When I run the run.bat file, it gives me lots of errors. Mainly gives me 2 errors 1) comp not found 2) Port 8080 is already in use I could start JBoss3.0.8 vesion but JBoss4.0.4 is giving me errors. [Design of JBoss jBPM] - MYSQL database connection within JBoss application(using JSF

I hope i am writing this question into the correct place. I am trying to make an application with JBoss. I have to establish connection with MYSQL database.I found some articles about how to connect to MYSQL database and i believe that i did everything correct. But this error message is shown on the web browser after i ran the program. Hi Clebert. I was looking for information on running the Memory Profiler with a Mac and came across this thread. Is there any update? +1 here since we are moving to API/SPI model. For PojoCache integration, I have refactored my code to use some delegation (from a sub-class of TreeCache). So next step is to use Cache implementation directly. There is an integration task for this in 2.0. http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBCACHE-685 I think it is ok to go ahead now. I suspect there are only few in PojoTreeCache that needs changed (without looking at it first). [Design of JBoss Profiler] - Sorting a GC operation

In the online docs. (http://labs.jboss.com/portal/jbossprofiler/doc/webinterface.html#webinter...) there is a Figure 4.10 that shows the details of a GC. There are three links on each line of the table: Leaks, Creations, and Threads. I have a few questions: 1. If I click on Leaks I see a subset of the information presented when I click on Creations, is that correct? In other words, the Creations display shows the total number of instances created (by method) and the total number still alive on the heap. The Leaks display just shows the total number (by method) that are still alive on the heap. 2. The Bytes column just shows the size of the objects, not total retained size, correct? In other words, if I have 10 instances of class A on the heap and each class A is 100 bytes then the Bytes value would be 1000 even if each instance of class A had a live reference to a unique class B instance that is 100000 bytes. 3. Assuming the answer to #2 is that the retained size is not shown, then are there plans to add more display and sort options? I ask because I don't immediately see how to use this display to track down some types of memory leaks. I can calculate a delta in my head between Quantity and Release Quantity, but it would be nice if there were an additional column for it. More importantly, though, the objects on the heap taking up the most space are not always the real source of a memory leak problem - a slow leak over time of small objects can cause just as much trouble. But those slow leaks take longer to eat up enough heap space to cause an OutOfMemoryError, so it would be nice to be able to sort by the delta between Quantity and Release Quantity (so that I don't have to run the application until the error occurs). Is there any further documentation that provides a tutorial showing how best to use this display? [Design of JBoss Collaboration Server] - JBMS Alternate Datastore

Hello - Considering JBMS for a redundant, fail-safe email environment. As far as I can tell, redundancy for JBMS is implemented via the RDBMS that it uses as a mail store. In a MySQL cluster, for example, there would be 2 or more SQL servers. Without a load balancer between the JBMS servers and the MySQL cluster, if a MySQL node fails, how does the JBMS node using that MySQL node know how to start using another MySQL node instead? [Design of the JBoss Web Container] - IPlanet Plugin for JBoss

Am trying to migrate an application deployed on a cluster application(weblogic) server to which the calls are routed from IPlanet web server. Does JBoss have the IPlanet plugin?? Was contemplating if it would be possible to replicate the current architecture,after replacing Weblogic with JBoss as the application server. ie would it be possible to have an IPlanet webserver,that would have some static content deployed on it,and route the calls from IPlanet to JBoss application server cluster underneath?
