I think this should be fine for the aop/aspects projects. The interface for the aspects is well defined via the Invocation object, but the content of the aspects is more bound to the application server version. Scott was mentioning that he wants to move the security codebase in the aspects module to either the security module or reuse the security module. Are there any major issues with this? Apart from the caution that needs to be presented for embeded ejb3 (such that JBoss sideeffects do not creep in). I did a bit of "local surgery, and was able to get late binding to work. The SubProcessResolver interface requires the subProcessElement from the jpdl. Unfortunately I was not able to persist this XML Element as part of ProcessState (this may just be a limitation of my Hibernate experience having never worked with HIbernate and XML). Instead I created subProcessDefinitionName and subProcessVersion attributes on the ProcessState (both Strings), and then added a method to ProcessState to lookup the processdefinition (basically a cut and pase of DBSubProcessResolver). It would be better if either the subProcessElement was persisted, or if the SubProcessResolver interface took the two string values for arguments instead of the XML. I do have a TestCase created. It uses process definitions from PAR files, however I can tweak it to include these in the test case source. indeed, orphaned code still needs to be removed from the beans. i have no clue how to do that. i started the redesign with keeping the original code for reference. now i don't know how to differentiate between used code and orphaned code. any suggestions are welcomed. i have been thinking of checking the webapplication with clover. then we would have to have a proper jwebunit test coverage. but it will probably take a bit of set up to get it running. any other ideas are greatly appreciated. i would like a new structure versus just porting the previous admin pages. i would like that the functionality of the new webapp would be get a new design. i didn't find the previous pages easy to use. some concepts were very nice but it should be more grouped, i think. e.g. group all the ways to trigger/continue a process execution: send signals to tokens, end tokens, suspend resume tokens, ... Separately, an admin should be able to look at all the tasks related to a process instance and perform different kinds of operations. Separately a page should be there to manage the process variables. type support is the difficult thing to solve properly here.
