[Design of JBoss IIOP on JBoss] - Re: tomcat deployer dependency on jboss-iiop.jar

I suppose JBoss (a jsp/servlet) was acting as a client in this case. But since he had the stub included with the .war, maybe we should just do better error handling trying to create dynamically a new stub without jboss-iiop.jar in the classpath, rather than throwing back an exception. On ORB independence... The whole IIOP module (jboss-iiop.jar and jboss-iiop-client.jar) should be ORB independent. The main reason it isn't ORB independent is the lack of a standard way of running IIOP over SSL. I don't see why this is needs to be added to the default configuration. The dynamic generation of IIOP stubs happens at the server side. If IIOP stubs are needed, then there is some IIOP-enabled EJB deployed in the appserver, which is therefore running a configuration with full support to IIOP.
