I expect that this could help HTTP session replication, since invocation batching is done (achieved currently via a transaction). Brian? You're probably right that such optimisations are already done for Hibernate/EJB3 though. Either way, I don't think the cost/complexity of this is that great. [Design of JBossCache] - TimeoutException printing stacktraces of threads holding loc

I think it'd be very good idea that whenever a TimeoutException is thrown, the stacktrace of the thread(s) holding locks is also printed out. The stacktrace of the thread requesting the lock is already being printed. I can see this being very useful from a troubleshooting point of view, specially in situations when TRACE level logging can not be requested, i.e. production. Such change would require changing the current lock implementations. We could take advantage of the existing boolean print_lock_details parameter to IdentiyLock.toString to and pass it on to the lock implementations, who contain the thread details. Thoughts? [Design of JBoss Portal] - IPC , Accessibility WA-I, breadcrumbs & some fun :-)

Hi, I am working with JBoss Portal and have some issues I can't solve. 1) We didnât success to do the communication inter portlet (IPC) even the example. Does it work? Could we have an example with the source code ? 2) Is it possible that the portlet with internal navigation update the navigator principal windowsâ title, in function of this state? In a sequences of differents pages in a portlet, Is it possible that the portlet have a title for each step ? To resum, I need one title for each page using the same portlet. 3) In Jboss Portal, is there a simple way to implement breadcrumbs, (description of path) 4) What is the best way (best practices) to link HTML pages stored in the CMS? 5) In terms of accessibility, what is the maximum WA-I standard we can reach, and how? 6) Is there a search portlet I can use? [Design of the JBoss EJB Container] - Namespace error while deploying EJB3 ear

HI we are in the process of Migrating to EJB3 from 1.1 in 1.1 descriptor we have following value in ejb-jar.xml <!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 1.1//EN" "http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/ejb-jar_1_1.dtd"> now in EJB3 we have changed it to <ejb-jar xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" id="ejb-jar"> but JBOSS421 fails to deploy this schema. I know that as custom authenticators are implemented as a valve they can be added to a context.xml deployed with the web application - however looking at the jboss-service.xml of the jboss-web.deployer I see the following comment: - anonymous wrote : You can configure a set of authenticators keyed by http-auth method used.
