Well... there's no much you can do about this other than implement duplicate message detection (there's already a task for this). What you could do though, is isolate the exact case in a test. This should be easy: Use the PoisonInterceptor to crash the server as a call to send() is returning. Send a persistent message, then we know the message is in storage after the send, but the client will receive an exception, then try and send the message again, and you'll get an exception (probably PK violation). This would be solved properly by duplicate message detection. Also, for a partial solution, we could introduce a flag "ignore PK violations" which ignores the send if it's already in the database. That solution would only be partial since you could still get duplicate messages sent since the original one might be acked before the second copy is sent, but at least it means that failover will work ok. Hi All, I am new to JAAS. I want to use JAAS to Authorize and Authenticat the users when users are logging in. I am using JBOSS 4.0.5 GA application server IDE IS Eclipse 3.0. I have searched through the web and could find some way, but it is giving several exceptions Can any body tell me how to configure JAAS in JBOSS and use that in a application step by step process. Bill, Thanks for the quick reply. No I don't deploy remotely I misunderstood the text. Ok so that constraint is only applicable if you deploy remotely? You say anonymous wrote : In JBoss 4 kernel you can only watch one file. I see so it only scans one directory the deploy directory (the first directory that is configured). I still have one question: Is JBoss 5.0 going to have a feature like jetty? I still believe that the jbossws tools should be named differently than the RI tools. Otherwise, there will be a lot of confusion in the forums and *a lot* more typing because it needs to be clarified every time what tools do you actually mean. Also, imagine 1.2.0 is out and somebody googles for wsimport, they surely do not get information on our toolset. My favorite is still wstools (with additional arguments) . You need to launch it manually. I also looked in the ..\build\output\jboss-4.2.0.CR1\server\ folder and only see default+all+minimal folders (log folder doesn't exist in any of the server folders). Any ideas why the app server wouldn't be launched by this (ant -Dtest=pooled test) test?
