Yes, like I said: it is the "other" side that is responsible for overwriting with a correct JMSDestination. BUT, in order to support something like the topic says (remote replyto) we would have to do something about the JMSReplyTo value (JBM-specific or not). Besides that, I have other applications with their own virtual host domain in this same machine, and I can't change the property "webServiceHost" in the {jboss_home}/server/default/jbossws.sar/jbossws.beans/META-INF/jboss-beans.xml to statically point to "myapp.mydomain.com.br". So, is it possible? How? Well, I'm using JBoss 4.0.5GA with JBossWS 1.2.1GA, and in the {jboss_home}/server/default/jbossws.sar/jbossws.beans/META-INF/jboss-beans.xml file are this two elements included: | ... | <property name="webServiceHost">${jboss.bind.address}</property> | <property name="alwaysModifySOAPAddress">true</property> | ... | I would be glad if someone could help me. ActiveMQ has already fixed it, according to http://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/AMQ-1232 I think I was misunderstood - I think we shouldn't do any checks on the value passed to setJMSDestination - neither in setJMSDestination, nor in ProducerAspect. It's simply not necessary (as far as I can tell), the spec even says we must ignore the value completely. My question was whether we should also skip all checks on JMSReplyTo - e.g. to allow sending a JBossMessage with JMSReplyTo set to an ActiveMQ destination. All the new platforms that we sell support for, i.e. the Enterprise Application Platform and the SOA platform are Java 5 only. You may be able to get Java 1.4 clients to work in some cases, but they're not supported. Just to clarify things here: The change Sergey is making is not because we are not compliant. In an ideal world ActiveMQ would fix their stuff, but I am not holding my breath. The reason for this task is to allow us to work with ActiveMQ without having to wait for them to fix their code. Hope that is clearer. Though the most likely case is using Queue/TopicRequestor, which pretty much hides all this for the client anyway. I think temp destinations are the only way to get remote replyto to work correctly. Argh. That was a serious blow. So in order to get a legacy JMS 1.1 client (that cannot run java 5) to talk to JBM you actually need to set up a different JMS provider (non-JBM) in between and move messages back and forth? And solve the previously commented remote replyto/correlation issues? ...which would mean JBossESB when it uses JBM is basically an Enterprise Service Bus that (for JMS) only supports Java 5 clients?
