[Design of JBoss Profiler] - Re: Coding standards and process queries

Actually, I've been a bit buried in the detail. Stepping back and looking at the big picture a bit (as you've obviously been doing), I'm starting by wondering if the whole menu thing is laid out as well as it can be anyway. I'm not sure why "Operations for Server", "Analyze Snapshots" and "Snapshot Operations" are in 3 different corners of the page and two different formats. What do you think? As for the 1st: I don't know. As for the NPE: it means bad configuration, there is an assertion in EJB3UserTransactionProvider. I still have the open question of when the EJB?UserTransactionProvider is populated. Nice :) I think that we should have a single template and fold head.xhtml into that. Taking a quick look at head.xhtml looks it should be called "menu.inc" and be included from template.xhtml. The goal must be to have a single template.xhtml files and multiple .inc files in the template/ directory. I think that's a good plan. BTW, not sure if you've noticed, but suddenly the Web app is working! I got quite a surprise when I fired it up on the train this morning (Western Australian time) after last night's changes and the pages suddenly started displaying snapshots and profiling details etc and generally looking like they should. I'd expected to take much more effort to get to this point, but it seems that the major problems with the web app were a few broken links and some javascript typos :-D I'll keep pushing on with tidying up. I'll work on getting rid of the inline styles next. It'd be good to have head.xhtml back so I can fix its inline styles first. great to hear from you, Adrian, reading the referenced topic and this items, i still don't get the iCal integration that you are envisioning or have build. the straightforward way that I would see this integration is to send iCal formatted messages that include the due date when a task gets created. This iCal message would then be send to the assignee so that this person can easily (automatically?) create a reminder in his/her calendar referencing the task created by a jPDL workflow. but somehow your explanations seem to be referring to some different kind of integration. could you explain that a bit more ? Actually, there's one other thing that might help. Could you add the svn:ignore property to the "build" and "dist" directories? If nothing else, it would help reduce clutter when committing files (or creating patches).
