What you need when you get cranky is a nice spanking. ;) Regarding junit based tests in the ejb3 project, they mainly test minute functionality (avoid NPEs also), define input/output from the functionality etc. Testing functionality in small bits can reveal issues that integration tests will not or take a long long time in resolving. The issue is the effort in isolating the functionality in bits that need to be unit tested. We are only going to support AS GA versions (starting with AS 5.0). Beta4 support is nice because it allows us to release right now, but that is not a priority. It also visualized regression which was not due to EJB 3 changes. Anyway we're past that station. The fact that we're coding against a moving target was already by Dimitris: there is no AS - EJB 3 SPI. (We're now in the same position as EJB 3 - WS SPI.) I beg to differ with Adrian, that this is not an exercise of moving some interfaces + annotations to integration. This should be a component contract with which the AS EJB 3 deployers can boot up EJB 3 containers. I don't think we'll be addressing this before RC1, and yes, it'll bite back some time down the line. The one thing we do lose is our ability to code against a stable AS. [Design of JBoss ESB] - Cluster Singleton listeners

If several ESB instances are running with the same services deployed it seems to me that some event listeners needs to be cluster-singletons. (Only active on one node at the time) For example if you use the ScheduledListener in your service and it's deployed on several ESB in a cluster they may trigger exact at the same time and that may be a problem if you can't allow that concurrency. One solution is to only deploy the service on one of the ESB, but then you lose the high availability of the cluster. Is there any solution for this in the ESB? A solution could be to extend the needed listener with the following Singleton solution (based on a JGroups stack shared by all nodes) before actual triggering: Check for a parameter to the Listener that states an integer and check that against the JGroups list of members. If the current node is the member of the location pointed by the integer then go ahead and run otherwise stop. (If the integer is greater than the length of the list just execute your standard modulo operation). This will give the possibility to spread the load on several nodes and not just on the master. [Design of Security on JBoss] - SAML 2.0 Support in Websphere?

Hello, In the context of a diploma thesis i should evaluate support of the SAML 2.0 Standard in JBoss. I'm especially interested in the Web Browser SSO Profile and Identity Federation mechanisms. I believe this would be implemented in the JBoss Federated SSO Project?! I can't find any information in the documentation wiki, about a SAML 2.0 implementation though. Does it exist? Any hints or references to documentation will be very much appreciated.
