That form of local jndi name would only be created if not explicitly defined in the metadata. This should be fine as there is no standard for a local jndi name binding or expectation that it has a global jndi binding. It would seem to be a hangover from the bad deployment attempt, but I don't know why it would have just the simple name of the ds instead of its full name. Once I'm done with the deployment template factory we'll see if the problem still exists, and if so, reproduce it in the ProfileServiceUnitTestCase. org.jboss.test.virtual.test.NoCopyJarsUnitTestCase.testInnerJarFilesOnlyFileSerialization showed the problem with serialization of an outer.jar/jar1-filesonly.jar type of VirtualFile. This works after the fix where accessing a file in jar1-filesonly.jar after deserialization is validated. Is that a level2 jar to you? I am still a little bit wary though. when the code inside the ManagementViewImpl is doing is calling the ProfileService.getDeploymentNames() Then loops through those names calling getDeployment(name) from that Collection. It seems when it tries to create a DeploymentContext object from that name it got from itself. I've switched the overwrites to instead write the resolved link target to "ref.setResolvedJndiName(target);". http://fisheye.jboss.org/changelog/JBossAS/?cs=70397 ...which will invalidate Bill's change within EJB3, so I reverted that. On local beans, the link target is resolved to the pattern: "local/" + ejbName + '@' + System.identityHashCode(ejbName); ...in JBossEnterpriseBeanMetaData.determineLocalJndiName(). Not sure if this is desired.
