OK, I am thinking this must be an old jar type thing happening The stack trace shows at org.jboss.deployers.plugins.main.MainDeployerImpl.getManagedDeployment(MainDeployerImpl.java:650) However, that line isn't 650 in the most recent version of the java file. I am thinking I am using Microcontainer Beta 10 jar instead of SNAPSHOT, I have the snapshot repository set as a repository in the project's pom file, but sometimes it gets snapshots and sometimes it takes Beta 10 jars. Yep I only see jboss-deployers-impl-2.0.0.Beta10.jar in my local repository. Sometimes I love Maven, sometimes I hate the bastard. What happens here during wildcard resolution is that the schema for urn:jboss:bean-deployer:2.0 is found but it doesn't have value element as the root element. The current resolution behavior is overwriting this as this was the only value for the resolved name at the time. A resolvedJndiName has since been added to the base ResourceInjectionMetaData, and this is what should be set and used. [Design of EJB 3.0] - AbstractEJBReferenceMetaData ejb-link issue

The AbstractEJBReferenceMetaData mappedName value seems to be populated from xml when there is no explicit jndi binding but there is an ejb-link value. mappedName is set to the link value. I've made a change to EJBRemoteHandler to work around this. Not sure if this is intention in metadata or not ... There are a few tests that failing based on the os in use. On winxp I see: | Running org.jboss.test.virtual.test.FileVFSUnitTestCase | Tests run: 42, Failures: 3, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed: 1.89 sec <<< FAILURE! | Running org.jboss.test.virtual.test.JARCacheUnitTestCase | Tests run: 1, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed: 0.125 sec <<< FAILURE! | Running org.jboss.test.virtual.test.URLExistsUnitTestCase | Tests run: 2, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed: 0.078 sec <<< FAILURE! | 3 of these are due to not being able to delete a tmp file. On osx I see: | Running org.jboss.test.virtual.test.FileVFSUnitTestCase | Tests run: 42, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed: 1.89 sec <<< FAILURE! | Running org.jboss.test.virtual.test.JARCacheUnitTestCase | Tests run: 1, Failures: 1, Errors: 0, Skipped: 0, Time elapsed: 0.125 sec <<< FAILURE! | There is a common FileVFSUnitTestCase failure due to a class file not being copied from the resources dir. This was commented out with a FIXME, so I uncommented it as it works in eclipse. Some addition test setup will be required for surefire, or a reworking of the test resources. The JARCacheUnitTestCase failure is due to the JBVFS-2 issue. On winxp this test fails earlier with another file delete failure. The central repository can be mirrored using rsync. http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-mirror-settings.html Ideally I think we want a mirror that is available publicly so that it can be used on or off the vpn. And we want some method of keeping a history of changes as they come in (maybe using svn or git)? Internally we are trying to get a process for reproducing everything from source, but since this is not available yet, having a mirror of central I think will solve the short term problem.
