Clebert, thanks for your reply. I've run into additional issues with doc/svndist disparities. The readme.txt file states "Under Linux/Unix, run the compile.sh script in the native/linux or native/solaris directory" There are no such directories in the svn distribution. The directions at http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/SolAris also state the same; # Go to the directory $HOME/jboss-profiler/native/solaris # Create a new directory $HOME/jboss-profiler/native/solaris/bin What shall I compile? No I don't think that I am using aop. But I am not very skilled in EJBs & so. My setup was this one : - A Tomcat server (with jbossall-client.jar) with a web app which was calling an ejb remotely. - A JBoss server on an other machin, which was serving the EJB. When I was using a method with a parameter which was a class of my WebApp, all the classpath of the Tomcat was sent in the RMI call. This classpath was of no use for JBoss. And it was flooding the network. I just used an old and good debugger to find where was the problem. And I thought it was the best way of patching it. That's not how you use whois. Whois only works on registered domains - so "sourceforge.net" works. You have to use a name lookup tool such as nslookup to look up entries within a domain. Sorry, did find note here http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/SolAris about no native support for solaris and to get the CVS variant from here cvsgrab -url http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/jboss/jboss-profiler/ cvs.sourceforge.net either does not exist or is DOA. Internic says: Whois Server Version 1.3 Domain names in the .com and .net domains can now be registered with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net for detailed information. No match for domain "CVS.SOURCEFORGE.NET". Where can I get a solaris variant of jboss profiler? If this is no longer available, might someone be able to suggest a suitable replacement/alternate? Thank you!
