Hmm, why do you need that "technical short name" and don't just use the name as business name (meaning the longer description")? There is no real downside of it, or is it? Introducing a new attribute is not necessary here in my oppinion, but correct me if I am wrong or missing something. [JBoss AS Development] - Jboss JMS Question.

Newbie Question. We have a requirement to interface to a JBoss 4.3 JMS queue from an Oracle 9i database. Initial idea was to write a Java stored proc in Oracle to invoke the JMS API. However, the JVM in Oracle 9i is 1.3.1. I am assuming that to write a JMS client to talk to Jboss 4.3, we need to reference the JBoss 4.3 JMS provider libraries. They only work with JVM 1.5. Caleb's work in in SVN currently. Also, there will be support for instance migration in the upcoming release. I will add documentation around this to the developer's guide in the coming days. The support will be in incubation initially with the purpose of gathering more feedback on the different use cases. [JBoss Microcontainer Development POJO Server] - Skipping metadata

Some specifications in EE are a bit unusal, in the sense that some metadata cannot be processed at deployment time. One example: the implicit TLDs for JSP, which actually use different validation rules compared to regular TLDs, and are only supposed to be read when translating the JSP. So it would be nice to have a way for the deployer to skip (I did it by overriding parse for now, but this could be more elegant, I think). While working on RELOADED-9 (JavaEE 6 JNDI namespaces) I've made the initialization of java:comp optional in NamingBeanImpl (JBNAME-37). Now I'm bringing this to AS, but whatever happened to naming-jboss-beans.xml? The naming service is still in jboss-service.xml. Are we going to keep it that way, or is this going to be expedited? [JBoss ESB Development] - duplicate key value violates unique constraint

Hello folks, we've been using ESB 4.5 in production for a while, and now and then (mostly when under heavy load) I find the following message in the server.log: 2009-10-22 03:19:17,479 WARN [WorkerThread#0[172.17.129.178:34800]] : [] / [org.jboss.messaging.core.impl.JDBCSupport] SQLException caught, SQLState 23505 code:0- assuming deadlock detected, try:1 org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint "jbm_msg_ref_pkey" Obviously, we're using Postgres persistence. This happens mostly daily, mostly with "try:1" and no followup errors, but sometimes I also see a "try:2" and even less often bigger tries. -> Do you think this is (could be) causing data loss ? -> Does "try:1" with no followup errors mean that a retry worked ? -> Any idea how to further debug or get logging for that issue ? -> I do not see how I could be causing anything like this from our code, so this is most probably a bug in the ESB ? Should I file a bug ? Thanks for the follow-up Jeff. >From what I can tell this has been broken since before ESB 4.4, which means that it also impacts all the SOA 4.3 releases. While I think that we should reinstate this behaviour, as it is a necessary feature, I also agree that we should look at improving the way in which this is handled.
