[Design of Messaging on JBoss (Messaging/JBoss)] - AddressSettings versus loadBindings

Is there a way to load/deploy AddressSettigs before storageManager.loadBindings()? I would need the AddressSettings loaded before that, or I would aways get default values on AddressSettings when reloading bindings of the journal. I think this used to work like that at some point.. but I'm not sure. Not sure why you'd see two types of requests (memcached and JBoss Cache) requests made over the same socket, once server-client handshake was complete. Is your protocol designed to be compatible with the existing memcached protocol? Right, the type key set is just either the allowed set of keys. Removing an item from the value should not affect what the type known as the allowed keys. Its expected that some of the type keys would not have values. If you want to know if a CompositeValue contains a value for a given key, even if its null, the CompositeValue.containsKey(String key) method can be used. Datasources and connection factories have both a type-mapping and a metadata prop. The type-mapping prop is a simple value, and the metadata is a composite value containing a single simple named typeMapping. I think both the top-level type-mapping property and the typeMapping sub-value represent the name of the DB type-mapping from conf/standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml that this datasource should use. Isn't this redundant? Which property is actually used by the underlying DS/CF, or are both used? And if both are used, which one takes precedence? as we talked through IRC, I'm placing back the JMS properties: I have created two properties: - JMS_JBM_InputStream - The InputStream - JMS_JBM_OutputStream - The OutputStream And a third one, that I need to find a better name, and decide if I will keep it or not: - JMS_JBM_SaveStream - The OutputStream, but blocking on set With this third property I won't need to do a cast to JBossMessage to wait completion on cases where the user needs to for instance close the connection right after the message was received. If we take out that property, the user will need to do things like: ((JBossMessage)rm).waitCompletionOnStream(10000); As It's done on the LargeMessageExample now. Any thoughts... any idea for a better name on the jms-property? I thought the MapCompositeMetaType contained a map of potential keys, for the purpose of enumerating the allowed keys and optionally specifying descriptions for those keys. If that is true, it should not be desirable to remove the corresponding item from the metatype when an item is removed from a MapCompositeValueSupport, and it should not be necessary to add a keyset() method to MapCompositeValueSupport. However, if MapCompositeMetaType doesn't enumerate all allowed keys, but just ones that have descriptions, then keySet() would need to be added, since the MapCompositeValueSupport could contain additional items that are not enumerated in the metatype.
