JBoss EAP 6.1
I have the following JSF

It works as ManagedBean. When I change it to a CDI Bean the key and value properties are
not set on the bean:

I do have a beans.xml:

I think you are seeing a known issue that is fixed in the latest WildFly build.
Unfortunately, I can't let you see the Jira issue because it is a private issue
releated to TCK certification. The fix is here:

Have you tried javax.annotation.ManagedBean?

The CDI bean works after adding
@RequestScoped
