couldn't figure out.

equality) and cross product behavior (remove or keep identity equals across
products).
2nd part after "and" is unclear to me, but I think that the text in
parentheses needs to be rewritten.

The reason for this is in remote situations where you do not always want the
return payload, so this way it is optional.
"remote" - Should this mean "rarely occurring" or something entirely
else?
