Hi,
I have 2 questions:
1) I used KnowledgeAgent as following
KnowledgeBase kbase=KnowledgeBaseFactory.newKnowledgeBase();
KnowledgeAgent agent =
KnowledgeAgentFactory.newKnowledgeAgent("myagent",kbase,aconf);
when I do, StatefulKnowledgeSession session
=kbase.newStatefulKnowledgeSession();
session.firAllRules();
nothing is happening! ==> so I should add kbase=agent.getKnowledgeBAse();
what's the meaning of "kbase" in KnowledgeAgent parameters??
2) I am trying to use KnowledgeBaseEventListener. I add this line,
kbase.addKnwledgeBaseEventListener(new .....) but I didn't have any result
why?

I think you need to start the listener service up - which I can't remember
how to do off the top of my head (ie if it is listening but really polling
for changes).

I started ResourceFactory (Listener & Notifier)
when I look to the parameters of KnowledgeAgent, I foun 3: (name,
KnowledgeBase, KnowledgeAgentConfiguration). this is fine.
Normally, when I give a KnowledgeBase to th KnowledgeAgent, it will save the
knowledgeBAse built from KnowledgeAgent to the KnowledgeBases given in
parameter.
I give an example:

Hi,
Are you setting drools.agent.newInstance to false? If not, when the kbase is
rebuild, a new instance is created, so the kbase variable you have
"outside" the agent is obsolete. You need to use kagent.getKnowledgeBase().

Hi Ben,
The kbase that is passed into KnowledgeAgentFactory.newKnowledgeAgent is
used to configure the KnowledgeAgent that is created. The
KnowledgeAgentFactory reads the current contents of the KnowledgeBase and
the configuration of the KnowledgeBase and ensures that future
KnowledgeBases are set up with the same configuration.
This is useful for setting properties that are specific to a KnowledgeBase
which you can not set using the KnowledgeAgentConfiguration class.
Please note the differences between the configuration options on the
following 2 interfaces:

I believe the reason why your rules are not executing when you get a
session from the kbase that you provided to the KnowledgeAgentFactory is
because the kbase provided to the KnowledgeAgentFactory is not modified
when the agent is built. Once the agent is built you should use
agent.getKnowledgeBase().newStatefulKnowledgeSession()
You can read more about how to configure KnowledgeAgents in the
documentation section 3.2.6:

Really I didn't debug my code, but with defferent tests, I found that
including a KnowledgeBase as parameter in the KnowledgeAgent don't have
impact or changes.
perhaps it will be fixed in next released
