[Design of JBoss jBPM] - Problems with jBPM&gpd

Hi, I've got an jBoss Eclipse IDE installation guide an i do all step by step. When I make a project all the carpet tree are generated but there aren't any carpet called /scr/process in which goes all the .par elements (all the workflows graphic definitions). I think that all i did its correct but perhaps there are to install any thing else or do another things.... Another wrong may be that the jBoss Eclipse IDE that i've got installed is the stable last one (http://download.jboss.org/jbosside/updates/stable), jBoss Eclipse IDE 1.6 but the guide alredy talk about 1.5 version. Please can you help me?? I looked at some old logs, and it looks like the problem is associated with tests that deliberately kill the server, which is why the client side is trying to recreate the control connection. The NullPointerException seems to occur because the client invoker has closed before the ControlMonitorTimerTask has stopped running. I'm not sure how this is happening, but it could be that the TimerTask was in the middle of running when the client invoker closed. In any case, I've modified the code to avoid the NPE and print a warning message. I ran the JBM functional tests, and they all pass except for occasional failures in FailoverValveTest at line 287 | assertNotNull(o); | I reran FailoverValveTest with the remoting jar from the SVN repository and the same thing happened, so I don't think I broke anything new. Tim, I see that Branch_1_0 head contains a bunch of completed JIRA tasks (take a look at the roadmap, specifically 1.0.2.CR1), which have been closed after last merge of Branch_1_0 to trunk (svn merge -r 1547:1841 https://svn.jboss.org/repos/messaging/branches/Branch_1_0 on Dec 20, 2006). Mostly they are about XARecovery. I reckon we should do a final merge into the trunk, so Branch_1_0 can die in peace. Do you think the merge it's worth the trouble? I am not sure we can get rid of the disconnected. We have to assume that the resource was enlisted prior to attempting to get the handle. As a result, we need the compensating delist that horribly named managedConnectionDisconnected method provides. You need something to identify the cluster-wide deployment, as opposed to the VM. The current isLocal() approach distinguishes the VM just fine and allows the call to go remote. Where it fails is in properly letting the call stay local. To recognize each other the deserialized proxy and the local container need a common piece of info. Perhaps including the partitionName is sufficient. If someone: 1) Creates cluster A and names it DefaultPartition. 2) Creates cluster B and names it DefaultPartition. 3) Deploys things that have the same ejbName on both. 4) Has a client on A that downloads a proxy from B and invokes on it. Well, that's just stupid. They should just use different partition names. If they want that to work they can remove the IsLocalInterceptor or write a custom impl. Re the benefits of optimizing, I 99% agree. The only area where I'm unconvinced is SFSB where the proxy wasn't created locally (a .01% case). But that's such an edge case that I don't really care. :) And it's too late to change FirstAvailable for 4.2 to properly support it anyway. btw. Did you look at changes made in 2.6? The split to UserModule, RoleModule, MembershipModule and UserProfileModule? Hopefully it shouldn't be hard to port your work into new portal version. I think that something that plugs into SSO solution on that level will be very valuably for the project so looking forward to hear more from you!
