Hi, I just added a quickstart ( transform_CSV2XML ) and the only way I could the quickstart to deploy as an .esb archive to a jbossesb-server-4.2.MR1 server was to comment out the following in jbossesb-properties.xml: | <properties name="filters"> | <property name="org.jboss.soa.esb.courier.filter.1" value="org.jboss.internal.soa.esb.message.metadata.MetaDataFilter"/> | </properties> | Has anyone experienced this before? A bit of a PITA that org.jgroups.jmx.JChannelFactoryMBean doesn't extend org.jgroups.ChannelFactory - as this would be the cleanest interface to use here. Looking at JBCACHE-1023, and with reference to this, how would we deal with potentially injecting both a ChannelFactory as wel as a Channel? If the Channel is null, fall back to the ChannelFactory and use the CF to create a channel? And if the CF is null, create a new JChannel with cluster props (or default cluster props?) Would be nice if we could combine the injection of a Channel and a ChannelFactory in a single call. What about just injecting a CF? For JBCACHE-1023, people could write a CF impl to return their channel. I don't have an answer to the problem but I have seen the same problem as well. Using commandLink instead of commandButton usually solves the issue. [Design of Messaging on JBoss (Messaging/JBoss)] - Dependencies maintained in two places??

Our project dependencies are defined in build-thirdparty.xml. However in the repository e.g. http://repository.jboss.com/jboss/messaging/1.2.0.GA/component-info.xml Another set of dependencies are maintained. Does anyone know what relationship (if any) these two files have to one another. Is there any reason component-info.xml has less dependencies in it than build-thirdparty.xml? Is it up to the project to make sure these two files are always synched (currently they are not)? [Design of JBossCache] - Implicit transactions and opt locking

At the moment opt locking, when used outside the scope of a transaction, creates an implicit transaction for the scope of a call. The problem I have here is that at the moment a rollback of an implicit transaction is swept under the carpet and the method returns seemingly successfully. IMO this should throw a CacheException that wraps the cause of the RollbackException. I've created a JIRA for this - JBCACHE-1038 - but my concern is whether this will break any existing integration code like EJB3/HTTP session repl code. Mean time I have been trying to understanting how jbpm works (JbpmContext and JbpmConfiguration), but i'm having a hard time on this, i admit that I don't have a lot of experience on this matter so i apologise if my questions are a bit "noobs", but how is the engine initialize? Via hibernate? what's the class that initializes the engine, JbpmContext? JbpmConfiguration? or something else... Ales and I started having a discussion about moving the source but we felt that a more appropriate place to to have the discussion was in the forum. I was suggesting that we create a second project for the repository api, keeping this separate from the current osgi integration project (osgi-int). I was also suggesting that we should create an osgi top level directory and move the osgi-int project into it, keeping the clutter in the top level to a minimum. The current layout mc ---> osgi-int would therefore become something like the following | mc ---> osgi ---> osgi-int | | | |-> osgi-api ---> repository | | | |-> <other apis> | The idea would be to keep each of the api projects separate. You can run the esb either deployed to jboss, or you can run the esb-server by itself. The easiest way to get started is to download the esb-server, and run some of the quickstarts. It should be all you need.
