Don't get too hung up on this testing integration. This is why #6 (work w/ Prabhat) came before #7 on my list. We can come up with hacky ways to manually run the EJB3 entity clustering testsuite with the new code. If it passes I want to get a binary to Prabhat ASAP so we can see if it actually helps him. Later on Sohil pointed out that even CMS does not cache query. The code is no longer used and is going to be removed. When I said, INVALIDATION_SYNC does not help, I meant that numbers do not show any better or worse result. Just to make sure I am on the same page, my configuration is Pessimistic locking + read committed + invalidation_sync. I will however disable use_query_cache flag from configuration as well. Interesting. You mentioned that only the CMS cache actually caches queries. Is most of the actual caching activity in the CMS cache? Also, if you aren't actually caching queries, you should set use_query_cache to false in your SessionFactory config. Otherwise every time you create a new entity or update one, Hibernate will send a *two* messages around the cluster to invalidate the query cache. That message should go async, but it's still a source of overhead. Hi friends, I'm trying to use JBOSS 5.0 with MS SQLSERVER 2005, but I'm getting the following error: [JBossManagedConnectionPool] Throwable while attempting to get a new connection: null | org.jboss.resource.JBossResourceException: Could not create connection; - nested throwable: (org.jbo | ss.resource.JBossResourceException: Failed to register driver for: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLS | erverDriver; - nested throwable: (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQL | ServerDriver. On a previous project, we had a pre-commit hook reformatting Java code according to the company standard (it was under CVS, but SVN has hooks too). Also, the eclipse code formatter is usable from the command line. wrong forum, thread-jacking etc... but I'd give you a (personal) short list anyway Just do not comment on it here. Start a new topic in the user forum then - it is open source - it runs on more platforms (including windows) - it is completely customizable but those are probably not the ones you'd like to hear. A comparision with pro's and con's is not one I think JBoss is going to provide. Simply because it can never be complete, there are to many products to compare to, it does not yield significant more commercial support contracts etc...
