I've looked the jboss-jca project and really like the ideas that have been implemented. So I think that we should use the ideas presented in our implementation - e.g. MC + AOP. This also fit well with the ideas that Adrian have logged in JIRA. So for the next steps I would like to do: * Move the current code-base to a branch, so we keep it around and can pull in features we need. * Setup development environment based on Ant and Ivy * Create a project in JIRA with the different components (core, jdbc, ...) registered Once this is done we can start building the new implementation using the power of the MC. Where do I get the JNDI name for the transaction scope persistence context from? 3. How do I create a dependency on the data source? A JNDI dependency? Or a bean name from somewhere? it's not so much the changing but the inconsistency, uncertainty etc that arises when things are announced and announced and... e.g. the full jBPM site (jbpm,jpdl,bpel,gpd) point to the cvs, 'old' wiki etc... On the one hand we (jBPM community within jBoss) try to achieve consistency (e.g. moving to cvs) but go to a separate new wiki, (not top mention the seam guys with a full separate (but in some ways more usable) site... Why is this INconsistency arising? I've heard some rumours about a realy new wiki.... (and why not new forums? the've been announced way back, with good search functionality, not the sh*t that spits out results now) That is where consistency should be... not the one thing about cvs/svn or the (and I agree with Bernd here) unnecessary introduction of the dev mailing list (just because other projects use it as well.... I started hacking on JBMDR-1: - http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBMDR-1 In order not to re-invent the wheel, is there some LRU cache impl present 'near' by? OK, I know JBossCache has LRU eviction policy, but this would mean dragging whole JBC into bootstrap.
