This one I have a conceptual problem with. If a component needs the TSR it can currently ensure its presence by declaring a dependency on the TransactionService. That model will break if the TransactionService can be configured to provide only selected parts of its functionality. You would, IMO, need a separate TSR service that depends on the TransactionManager. Likewise for any other JNDI binding that may become optional. Or have I misunderstood the MC model? By the way, an often requested use case is to update the version of the ProcessDefinition of a special ProcessInstance (e.g. to apply a fix). This is possible with a Command in jbpm, even if it is marked as experimental, since it can cause some problems. One problem with the currrent implementation is, that node-id has changed, so the EPR isn't working. I added a note in the ChangeProcessInstanceVersionCommand but think we can ignore that for know. If people use that command, they should know what they are doing... ok, so we will get around the problem with package restricted constructors by using reflection. what we're doing now is that the Class clazz parameter that is defined in JavassistTypeInfo is never instantiated (eg always null) and we use the CtClass object where clazz earlier where used in JTIFactoryImpl. if we disregard the deprecated public method JavassistTypeInfo.getType(), clazz isnt use at all in JavassistTypeInfo except when throwing an exception in the getSuperclass() method (which could/should be changed to CtClass anyway imo). A JBM 2.0 standalone server is just the microcontainer with some services in it. The bridge can run in that as long as you deploy the service(s) that provide the JMSProviderAdapter functionality. Seems like what you have done is duplicate that functionality. In any case it's not a high priority. As long as customer have some way of bridging JMS messages from JBM 1.4/JBoss MQ/Other JMS provider <--> JBM 2.0 that is the important thing, since it solves their problem.
