I don't however know whether (a) we have some agreement with codehaus to
host an IRC web-portal that needs to be chased, or (b) recommending any
online IRC client will do (e.g. mibbit).
There is
http://webchat.freenode.net/ that we could use instead, but it just
directs users to connect to
irc.freenode.net.
If anybody (Mark?) knows whether option (a) or (b) applies I'm happy to
follow up.......
