[Design of JBoss ESB] - XSL and other transformation engines

At present we only include support for transforming messages using smooks, we would like to extend this to include direct support for other transformation engines. One suggestion is to include direct support for XSL transformations, however this is likely to include additional work on the internal message formats. Is this something that people would like to see included? Are there any alternative suggestions which we should consider? [Design of JBoss ESB] - XPath and regexp routing

We are looking to expand the options available for routing messages within the ESB. At present the routing is based on drools and, while very good at the job, is overkill when the routing requirements are simple. Two capabilities that have been requested in the past are routing decisions based on XPath and regexp. There would be some issues to address within our messages but I do not feel that these are insurmountable. What do folks think about these? Do you have any specific requirements? Have you integrated either of these into the ESB? Hi Alessio, that sounds good to me. I think we can start with JBossWS-CXF, as it has the ws-trust client side already working, and see later if we can collaborate with CXF on the server-side implementation of the token validation logic. Hi Stefan, implementing WS-Trust in JBossWS-Native is not an option at all. JBossWS-CXF is the way to go for WS-* right now. I didn't look in details at the Metro implementation of WS-Trust, but even if I think that might even be complete and interesting from a JBossWS community point of view, I think the integration with the CXF stack should be considered first. Right now the CMTxInterceptorFactory is instantiated per class join point. It should actually be instantiated per vm. This used to be the case with org.jboss.aop.advice.AspectFactoryDelegator which caches the factory, but org.jboss.aop.microcontainer.beans.DelegatingBeanAspectFactory does not. Apart from the fact that the scoping of an aspect factory can't be configured, is there a reason why DelegatingBeanAspectFactory doesn't cache?
