Teiid 8.5 status
by Steven Hawkins
Teiid 8.5 Alpha1 should be available by the July 4th holiday. Prior to that release and each of the pre-releases I'll merge forward changes from 8.4.x. So far the work remains conflict free and anything that appears too intrusive for 8.4.1 I'm pulling forward to 8.5 so that we can make a better decision if we need to pull it back to 8.4.1.

8.4.0.Final release
by Steven Hawkins
The release build has been performed, so all of the related postings and web updates will follow shortly. 8.4.x is now ready for 8.4.1 checkins, and master of course is 8.5. Let's get cracking on some more great releases.

Teiid 8.4 Final
by Steven Hawkins
Hello all,
I'd like to make sure that we're in good shape for a release today/tomorrow. The remaining issues can simply be pushed into 8.4.1 as they aren't directly related to the code. Is there anything else that needs looked at today?

Teiid 8.4 CR2
by Steven Hawkins
Hello all,
Teiid 8.4 CR2 is now available: http://www.jboss.org/teiid/downloads
This CR standardizes all ws (soap and binary) handling through CXF and fixes quite a few other issues. The built-in RESTEasy patch has been removed in favour of having user update their AS instances - see the download page for the instructions. The final release should occur in about a week barring any significant issues that push the release back.
Work on Teiid 8.5 issues should begin shortly. If you want to have something considered for inclusion, just leave a comment on or vote for your issues.
Thanks,
The Teiid Team

Teiid 8.4.CR2
by Steven Hawkins
Hello all,
Given that we've had some significant changes since CR1, I'd like to release a CR2 with and allow for at least another week to discover additional issues. All unit/integration tests look good - so are we ready today to cut CR2, or is there anything else that should be addressed? For example is there any objection to resolving https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-2485 by moving the rest easy patch to a separate download?
Also 8.4.x has been created. This is where CR2 and Final work should continue. The branch will then be converted into 8.4.1. If there is a need to start sooner on product work, then we'll start another branch to coordinate that work. Master will be converted over to 8.5 today as well.
