but not naming the folder drools-guvnor.war tripped me enough enough times
that I still remember it.

no I think it was more that OS-X finder would unzip the zip, and then unzip
the war, and you end up with a drools-guvnor directory... confuses people.
Distributing it as a war makes sense.
