Jdk1.4 vs jdk5
by Dimitris Andreadis
With the switch to jdk5 for JBossAS 4.2 we are seeing more cases where
jdk5 dependencies propagate, e.g.
jboss-test-1.0.0.GA build using 1.5 target -> jbossxb 1.0.0.CR8 ->
jbossws 1.2.0.CR2 -> jbossAS.
So jbossAS with jdk1.4 testsuite runs are bound to fail, plus I presume
we'll be start having problems with the compatibility runs, e.g.
Jboss 4.0.x (jdk14) against JBoss 4.2.x (jdk15)
Jdk15 targeted jars won't be accepted on the 1.4 side.
How we want to deal with this?

RE: [jboss-dev] Unified-tests

Ok, I've commented out parts of <macrodef
name="create-unifiedInvoker-server" ... > in
testsuite/imports/server-config.xml and at least it starts now.
Someone that knows more about the new config may want to have a look at
it.

Configuring XARecovery by default
by Adrian
Since we are including the new TransactionManager in JBoss-4.2/JBoss5
we really need to change the default configurations to take
advantage of it.
e.g. In 4.2, JBossMQ should be configured for XARecovery
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBAS-1341
and this needs to be properly configured in the TM config
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/secure/attachment/12312162/JMSProviderXAResour...
Similarly, work needs doing to make sure the JCA resources
that support recovery, e.g. XADataSources are registered
with the TransactionManager, or at least there are
examples/documentations on how to configure it.
