Agree. I have code completed minus the documentation for GSSAPI. I can
check-in what I have and finish the testing by 7.5 Final if that is
OK.
If you think that it will take longer than a week to ensure that it works correctly,
I'd rather just push out CR1 and start the 7.6 branch.

I believe the 8.0 might take little longer than 12 week cycle, looking
at all the changes coming in from AS7. I am not entirely sure either
if
all the features we need are implemented in AS7 or if we have to wait
until AS 7.1 for any gaps. I have not seen any so far.
I've been assuming that we won't release until AS 7.1 regardless, that corresponds
to the middle/end of November at the earliest. If you think that December/January is more
likely given the work you've already done, then that too would be a good reason to
leave the open the possibility of a 7.6.
