On demand JCA and JTA for the web-profile

The idea is that unless the webapp looks up a user transaction or transaction synchronization registry (there's a sticking point there) or the admin deploys a transactional datasource, then jca and jta won't bootstrap by default. Sharing Value Among Stateless Bean Instances

Using Jboss 3.x ejb container, and I am wondering is there anyway by which we can update/modify value of instance variables of all stateless session bean instances present in the pool? One way to do it is to use a Static Object, is this feasible? Does Jboss ejb container run under 1 jvm? AS 5.1.Beta1 testsuite release criteria

Given the current good status of the TCK (near 100%), are we shooting for "clean" runs for the rest of the testsuites (minus the jdk specific/transient failures): JBoss-AS-5.1.x-testSuite-openjdk6 JBoss-AS-5.1.x-testSuite-sun15 JBoss-AS-5.1.x-testSuite-sun15-jts JBoss-AS-5.1.x-testSuite-sun15-secmgr JBoss-AS-5.1.x-testSuite-sun15-sun16 JBoss-AS-5.1.x-testSuite-sun16 Currently, we are roughly at ~15 failure each, so we should start working on those ASAP. /Dimitris

JBM Examples moving to AS 5

Hi JBoss team, I'm working to add JBoss Messaging 1.4 examples to AS 5 SVN repo. The location I put those examples is messaging/src/etc/examples and the examples will be built into AS 5 installation package, the location will be : $JBOSS_HOME/docs/examples/jms/examples I'm asking two questions, 1. are those above locations OK ? 2. I'm working on the AS 5 trunk (https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/trunk), is that also OK that those changes go to the trunk? Thanks. Howard

Removal of "bootstrap" module from AS

TestSuite smoke-tests are passing on my server: http://jboss.hudson.alrubinger.com/job/AS_TestSuite_Trunk_Smoke_Tests/101/ ...so we'll see what the JBossQA Hudson yields for the full run. In particular, please take note of any ProfileService tests that may be affected; I had to manually merge stuff into the new project. component matrix housekeeping

When updating component-matrix/pom.xml in JBossAS please make sure to comment your commits with associated JIRAs, usually grouped or linked under a parent task. E.g. for AS5.1 Beta1 https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBAS-6156 In those subtasks it is desirable to link or even embed release notes. This allows our users (and ourselves) to browse and discover exactly what's changed in a release. Finally, remember that we keep the version properties in component-matrix/pom.xml sorted, so that making diffs between different version is possible. For example, to find out what changed from AS5.0.1 to AS 5.1.0.Beta1 I've sorted them again in all 3 branches (Branch_5_0, Branch_5_x, trunk), please help keep it sorted. Thanks /D

I've tagged JBossAS 5.0.1.GA https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/tags/JBoss_5_0_1_GA/ TCK is at 100% and a couple of testsuite failures are either transient or specific to a particular jdk. JBAS-6539 - Split out JBossMX into seperate project

As described here, I've split out JBossMX into a seperate project: http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=4212343#4212343 There's still some tidyup work to do (besides other issues): https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBMX/fixforversion/12313284 Most of the uses in JBossAS appear to be the MBeanServerLocator. This should probably be moved to the integration project?
