The $subject testsuite run is the second time in the last few testsuite
runs where the process for one of the AS instances being tested seems to
have failed. If you look at the forwarded email below, the testsuite
fails because when it tries to stop an AS instance the AS isn't running.
Logs from the problematic AS show it just stops logging without any error.

Same thing happened on run 212, with the logging from the failed node

The failure occurs during the startup of a second node in the cluster.
JGroups on the other node detects the process failure via its FD_SOCK
failure detection protocol. From logging on the other node, I can
estimate that the first node fails as the startup of the second node is
doing the following:

If the JBoss server is running on my host machine, then this works. I get

Does any one know what am I missing here.
>From the exception stack it looks like I should pass the proper credentials.
But I haven't set any credentials for the JBoss server.

Thread safety problems

When writing an API or SPI it is absolutely critical that all the elements
of that API or SPI are thoroughly documented with any information related
to the thread safety (or lack thereof) of that element. We have a great
deal of code (and I'm talking critical, core stuff) out there with little
or no javadoc at all, let alone thread safety information in said
documentation. This creates the possibility for situations like SPIs which
can end up being implemented with completely wrong thread safety semantics,
basically leaving time bombs in the code. See

We still have way too much code doing double-checked locking, or using
locks in strange or non-optimal ways, or using thread interruption wrong,
or making wrong assumptions about the JMM. Own and read this book:
http://jcip.net/ - don't think you understand concurrency until you have
done so - seriously.
Thread interruption in particular is easy to do right. When handling
InterruptedException, you basically have two choices. Either rethrow it
*directly* (absolutely no re-wrapping allowed!), or re-set the thread
interrupt status (either way, there's no need to log the exception - that
will just lead to noise). If you do the latter, you have a choice as to
whether you want to cancel or short-circuit the current operation (which
should be done in as sane and predictable a way as possible - don't just
blow up with a RuntimeException!), or complete what you're doing.
Interruption happens guys, that's how thread pools are usually shut down
and tasks (which your code may be a part of) are cancelled.

Jason,
I was working on the test jobs last night trying to get a dependable run. The cmp tests
were failing becaue the "Deployers [were] Shutdown" (log output shown below).
Because the rest of the tests were timing out, I manually aborted the job.
I did complete a test run locally with these results:

Failures: 12

With the revert of revert AOP to 2.1.0.CR3 the test current test run (job #209) is not showing this problem on
Hudson.

Looks like the build failure was a hudson issue. The process was killed

There are a lot of CMP failed tests with the same cause. There must be a
deployment error. But I don't see it locally. Is there a way to get to
the server.log or could somebody who can reproduce the failure send me
the deployment error please?
