I'd incremented the aop version to a snapshot before I'd read the all
the
zillions of mails I had while on holiday. I've rolled this back to aop
2.0.0.alpha2, which works fine my end.

Kabir updated aop to 2.0.0.alpha2. This must not be
consistent with the current microcontainer 2.0.0.Beta version
as the metdata package in question was added after this. The
aop version needs to be rolled back as the microcontainer is
not in a usable state for jboss5 currently.
