I fixed the Tomcat problem, and this error now appears. Yes, it looks
like a CL issue with Xalan.

Thanks, I now have a working build, 24 hours after I started
this task. :-)
I ended up started again with eclipse-3.2, subeclipse-1.0.3,
giving eclipse more memory and turning off decorations
to make it work.
I also fixed the xalan problem by reincluding it in endorsed.

This is still the same usual "tomcat" module, so I am using a Tomcat 6
build (which uses the source that is in the repository). Costin did
some changes to the JMX init, and it doesn't work; it's easy to fix,
and I'll update the build in the repsitory in a few minutes.
