xb in start up time

To get an idea of what's taking time in XB during the AS start-up, I added simple time checks for three things: - creation of unmarshaller instances (parsers) - schema binding (parsing of JBossXB/JAXB annotations) - unmarshalling (parsing xml + assembling the Java graph) I started the default AS configuration 10 times and here are the average results. AS start-up time: 31226 ms Init unmarshallers (94 instances): 99 ms Binding (13 schemas): 1194 ms Unmarshalling (71 files): 1764 ms Total xb time: 3057 ms Which is around 10%. I think first, I'm going to look into serializing/precompiling bindings, e.g. metadata projects could already include in the releases serialized schema bindings.

Where are allowable methods configured?

Booting Embedded I've got a fun exception informing me that methods "!GET,POST" are not allowed while creating a WebResourcePermission. These are the identical parameters passed in while running AS in Standalone. Where are the allowed HTTP methods configured? Does this ring any bells to anyone? FW: Migration to Jboss 4.05

Hi, I have requirement of migrating a project from tomcat 5.5.28 to jboss 4.05 . While doing the above ,I am facing the issues in jar file loading. In the tomcat there are folder like 'common' and 'shared' which contains some project specific jar file which needs to be loaded. Is there similar functionality in jboss 4.05 (Have seen it in jboss-5.0.0.GA version). I tried to place all the jars in the JBOSS_HOME\server\default\lib folder ,but still it doesn't work. I don't have an option of re-bundling wars. Please let me know any solution for it. Some duplicates in the AS dependency tree

There are a few duplicates in the AS dependency tree. - com.sun.xml.ws:jaxws-rt - com.sun.xml.bind:jaxb-xjc - com.sun.xml.stream.buffer:streambuffer These are duplicated by our old naming convention for sun jars witch looks like sun-project (for example sun-jaxb). Tomorrow I will go through the AS dependencies (the tree generated from build/pom.xml) and remove the duplicates and also try to switch anything using the old groupId to a dependency using the Maven standard groupid (com.sun.project). Please let me know if you think this will cause problems.

FindBugs Reports

I've published the FindBugs report set up by the JBoss QA team run against JBoss AS. The reports can be viewed here: http://hudson.jboss.org/hudson/view/JBoss%20AS/job/JBoss-AS-6.0.x-findbug... This report shows a total of 5675 warnings, 877 of which are categorized as High Priority. The report for Branch_5_x can be viewed here: http://hudson.jboss.org/hudson/view/JBoss%20AS/job/JBoss-AS-5.x-findbugs/... The Branch_5_x report has 6089 warnings, 977 High Priority. These issues should be addressed when committing to trunk or Branch_5_x. Take time out to look at the report data. Most of the warnings can be easily addressed. I've started a parent JIRA task for tracking: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBAS-7295 and will create subtasks as needed after additional review of the report data. Shelly
