was that Derby wasn't ready for prime time either.
OK. Well, if there's no reasonable candidate to use as the embedded db,
that kills it.
Does anyone else know much about what's going on with the jdbm project?
We certainly don't want to use HSQLDB for this.
It doesn't even flush the filesystem (except on a timer
about once a minute).
