Hi all again,
The wikimania continues!! It's now the turn of JNDI over HTTP:
http://wiki.jboss.org/auth/wiki/JNDIOverHTTP has been refactored into
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/JNDIOverHTTPWithLegacyInvoker which now
contains old instructions to access JNDI over legacy HTTP invoker.
I have created http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/JNDIOverHTTPWithUnifiedInvoker
that does the same using the Unified invoker configured with Servlet
transport.
To round this up, I have created
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/EJBAndJNDIOverHTTPWithUnifiedInvoker which
basically provides instructions on how to access both EJBs and JNDI over
Unified invoker configured with Servlet transport, iow EJBs and JNDI
over (Unified)HTTP :)
Finally, I have created http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBAS-5464
which aims to make unified-http-invoker.sar to forthcoming AS releases.
It's worth noting that it should include whatever is needed to do the
same for EJB3s which work slightly different.
p.s I don't trust our current wiki at all!!! It's behaving rather
awkwardly. I've made backups of the wikis I've created, so let me know
if something is not working correctly.

hudson and jboss messaging cr1

Can somebody who has access to the local maven repository used
by hudson do a
rm -rf ~/m2/repository/jboss/messaging/jboss-messaging/1.4.1.CR1
It is suffering from the problem discussed here:
http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=133663
which means all the test runs are going to fail until
the broken CR1 release is removed from the local repository.

Mavenizing Thirdparty

The mavenized thirdparty builds have been running ok (similar testsuite results
to non-maven build) on hudson for a few days and I've heard from other people
that have successfully run the build locally.
So I'm planning to switch to the mavenized thirdparty build at the end of the
day today. Please try it out if you haven't already (ant -f build-maven.xml),
and bring up any issues.
There are still some issues that we are working out regarding managing the
dependencies (see build forum for more info), but these issues don't prevent
building and testing, and I believe they can be resolved as development continues.

New metadata jar needed
by Brian Stansberry
Looks like a new snapshot of jboss-metadata needs to be deployed. EJB3
hudson build just failed with a NCDFE and the AS build failed with the
same thing this morning.
I updated my metadata project checkout and did a mvn install and the AS
would start after that.

Nightly Builds

Here's a proposition:
Let's have tagged reproducible builds run every night on AS. Once we
set the policy that no snapshots make it into the component-matrix,
we'll always have a set of semi-recent stable builds against which we
can work. trunk:HEAD is just too unstable.
I'd love to be able to check out repos/jbossas/nightly/20080416 and rely
on it all day without fear of doing an update that'll bring my
development to a standstill.

What is the rational behind that? Who is going to maintain these

Working on jbossas trunk build issues

integration code so the build seems broken as I have too many changes
