How do you guys function?

AS is ridiculous...
I have a checkout of AS that I haven't touched. I go to build
resteasy-int/ project (that I haven't touched and that worked before)
and it doesn't build anymore.
WTF guys!??!? This is ridiculous!

Eclipse .classpath files AS trunk

Is there any reason why the .classpath files for cluster, varia and server are J2SE-1.5? I get loads of errors with those, but if I edit those and set them to the "workspace default" everything compiles, e.g.

xerces usage in AS6

This came up from another irrelevant thread with Alessio making the observation that
com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl (Sun's JDK 1.6's default
DocumentBuilderFactory) is really fast, so I was wondering why we still need to bundle
xercesImpl.jar in lib/endorsed?
Are we referencing xerces implementation explicitly?

implementation for DocumentBuilderFactory to load, but I didn't quite catch that.

You also shouldn't update pom info to MC kernel,
as this is meant for 2.2.x versions -- whereas this is 2.0.x branch.
And what's with the CLMD serialVersionUID change?

If you can do this, I think this would be OK then.
(although I doubt there are any huge changes
in current jb-cl trunk anyway)
Afaik, the only changes we/you need are the native
lib support changes, right?

Consideration for M3: Embedded APIs into the AS Release Cycle

I've a proposal for the next iteration of JBAS, 6.0.0.M3.
We originally released "EmbeddedAS"[1] as an extension to JBossAS; that
is, it depends upon JBossAS and is an add-on library. The reasoning
behind this move was to allow for rapid releases of the Embedded APIs
without waiting on a full JBAS release cycle, and this has always been
intended to be temporary.
However, this:
1) Is confusing to users
2) Creates more boilerplate/setup code to set up the ClassLoading [2]
3) Isn't really proper. An API to JBAS belongs in JBAS itself.
So I'd like to introduce one or more modules under repos/jbossas/trunk
to account for the AS bootstrap and Embedded APIs.
From there we can have org.jboss.Main become just another user of the
AS Embedded APIs.

AS trunk now writes to build/target not build/output
by Brian Stansberry
FYI, if you update AS trunk and build the AS, the output in the "build"
module is now in the standard maven "target" folder, not in the
historically used "output".
You may still have an "output" folder left over from a previous build
but "target" is the relevant one.
